Silat EVO 2025 – Electrifying Two-Day Showdown at Lalaport

The inaugural Silat EVO 2025 Championship held at The Cage, Lalaport Kuala Lumpur on 20–21 September 2025 was nothing short of historic. With roaring crowds, intense matchups, and a fusion of tradition and innovation, the event marked a new era for Silat Melayu as a professional combat sport.

Organised by PASSMAL, supported by UiTM, Tourism Malaysia, and the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the championship showcased the modern “silat sangkar” format—Silat in a cage—designed to elevate the sport to global standards while preserving its cultural soul.

Day 1 Highlights

The first day featured 10 thrilling matches, with standout performances from young warriors:

  • Aryan “The Adventura Sovereign” defeated Mikail in a high-energy bout that had the crowd on its feet.
  • Naurah Syifa showcased technical mastery to overcome Damia in a balanced female match.
  • Eimaan “The Hunter of Silat” won against Umaiza, whose spirit won the audience’s admiration.
  • Arissa Irdina stunned spectators with her calm and courage, defeating Sha “The Stormrider”.
  • Akmal “The Shadow Dragon” closed the day with a dramatic win over Aiman Putra.

These matches proved that Silat EVO is not just an experiment—it’s a format capable of delivering world-class excitement.

Day 2 Highlights

The second day raised the stakes with another 10 matches:

  • Affan Putra, Aisy “The Warrior”, Sufla “The Iron Wolf”, and Hana “The Golden Widora” emerged victorious in gripping contests.
  • Zaim Muori and Zein Arryan impressed with tactical brilliance.
  • The most celebrated match was Aman “The Regal Lion” vs Usaid, a relentless exchange that earned both fighters hero status.

More Than Combat

Silat EVO retained its Malay identity through traditional gestures, live music, and warrior ethics. The event also featured Signum Polonicum from Poland, showcasing European sword arts—turning the championship into a platform for cultural diplomacy.

With transparent scoring, referee oversight using VAR, and age-appropriate safety rules, Silat EVO demonstrated that it can stand alongside global formats like judo, taekwondo, and MMA.
