Prof. Dr. Mohamad Nizam Mohamed Shapie
President, World Silat Federation | UNESCO ICM Advisor | Associate Professor, UiTM
Prof. Dr. Nizam is a globally recognized expert in Silat, sports coaching, and martial arts education. He currently serves as the President of the World Silat Federation (WSF) and is an Advisor for Silat to UNESCO ICM. As an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Sports Science and Recreation, Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), he has authored over 7 books and published more than 100 academic works on Silat, sports science, and coaching.
He is the founder of Silat Tempur, Silat for Beginners, and the Silat European Tour, and has led Malaysia’s representation in international martial arts congresses and cultural diplomacy efforts. Prof. Nizam has received countless prestigious awards, including:

Title: Master Instructor (5th Dan)
Role: International Trainer
Profile:
Hazim is a calm and technically skilled leader, training both local and international pesilat. His sessions emphasize discipline, performance excellence, and strong moral values. He is respected for his ability to nurture capable and principled martial artists.

🧑💼 Fahmi Shapie

Fahmi manages vendor partnerships and helps bring event visions to life. His work ensures that every collaboration aligns with the organisation’s standards and goals.
🧑💼 Ts. Nasru Syazwan
Title: Pegawai Perunding (Consulting Officer)
Role: Strategic Partnerships
Profile:
Nasru supports event execution and vendor coordination, contributing to the strategic development of Silat-related initiatives and ensuring impactful delivery. As the Strategic Consultant for PASSMAL, he supports the development and execution of Silat programmes.
He brings over 17 years of experience from Telekom Malaysia and currently serves as CEO of Yayasan Digital Malaysia. He holds an MBA from UUM and a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering from MMU, and is a certified professional technologist under MBOT. Nasru is pursuing a PhD in Sports Science at UiTM, focusing on gait analysis and normative data. His expertise strengthens PASSMAL’s national and international initiatives, including collaborations with UNESCO ICM, IMACSSS, and ACPES.

Programme Coordinator
Oversees national and international programme planning, including coordination with IMACSSS, UNESCO ICM, and ACPES. Ensures smooth execution of Silat training and academic events.
🧑💼 Azila Razak
Event Manager
Former oil & gas professional with 8+ years of offshore project experience. Founder of Sepang Sports Studio and MY Haute Couture. Manages Silat, girls’ touch rugby, and running teams. Experienced in school holiday camps and Silat choreography. Medalist in triathlon, duathlon, and cycling during her time in Kuwait. Active member of PASSMAL.
🧑💼 Azhar Alias
Programme Expert
Civil Engineering graduate from UTM (1995–1997). Nearly 20 years of international experience in telecom infrastructure (2.5G–5G) across Malaysia, Philippines, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Indonesia, Egypt, and Kuwait. Since 2022, transitioned into Silat coaching and community development. Co-founder of Sepang Sports Studio and MY Haute Couture. Active in Silat event organisation and a competitive athlete in running and triathlon.
